Unlike Viagra or Cialis, DrSheikh’s Pure Himalayan Shilajit significantly improves serum testosterone and spermia, key indicators of infertility in males.

Shilajit also improves total sperm count and motility, both characteristics being essential to conceiving a baby.

The sperm count of 60 infertile males was assessed in the study. At the beginning of the study, before any Shilajit was given, the total sperm count of all men was recorded at being below 20 million ml (-1) semen. Such patients are considered Oligospermic.

Oligospermia is a term that means you have a low sperm count. One medical definition is that you have fewer than 15 million sperm in 1 milliliter of semen. A typical sperm count is more than 15 million sperm per 1 milliliter of semen - Cleveland Clinic.

The men in the study were given 100g of Shilajit twice daily after major meals for 90 days.

Factors evaluated before and after the study

  • Total semenogram
  • Serum testosterone
  • Luteinising hormone
  • Follicle-stimulating hormone
  • Malondialdehyde (MDA) - a marker for Oxidative Stress
  • Content of semen
  • Biochemical parameters

Here’s the result of those who completed the study

  • Significant improvement (P < 0.001) in spermia (+37.6%)
  • Total sperm count (+61.4%)
  • Motility (12.4-17.4% after different time intervals)
  • Normal sperm count (+18.9%)
  • Serum testosterone increased significantly (+23.5%; P < 0.001) and
  • FSH (+9.4%; P < 0.05) level also significantly increased.

As stated in the Clinical evaluation of spermatogenic activity of processed Shilajit in oligospermia, HPLC chromatogram revealed inclusion of PS constituents in semen.

Unaltered hepatic and renal profiles of patients indicated that PS was safe at the given dose.

The present findings provide further evidence of the spermatogenic nature of Shilajit, as attributed in Ayurvedic medicine, particularly when administered as PS.

QUESTION

  • What causes infertility?

DR SHEIKH

There can be multiple causes of infertility in men. According to the Mayo Clinic, there can be several causes of infertility in men:
  • abnormal sperm production or function due to undescended testicles,
  • genetic defects,
  • health problems such as diabetes, or
  • infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, mumps or HIV.
  • Enlarged veins in the testes (varicocele) also can affect the quality of sperm.

Dr Sheikh adds:

  • For the above reasons, you must consult with your medical doctor for an investigation.
  • However, if the cause of infertility is linked with low sperm count, low testosterone levels, stress or low motility, DrSheikh’s Black Shilajit has been found to be an effective solution for infertility in men.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • All Shilajit, sun-dried or not, carries an intense aroma and an extremely bitter taste. It is also very sticky.
  • Cannot tell the difference between one form or another. They all taste the same and look the same, much like the regular milk and the more expensive organic milk you buy at the supermarket.
  • We purchase our Shilajit directly from source. See the BBC documentary in the About section to learn more about our supplier.
